Comelit-PAC ViP Systems: What You Need to Know
Comelit-PAC ViP Systems: What You Need to Know
6th January 2023
What is the Comelit-PAC ViP System?
ViP stands for Video Internet Protocol, and Comelit-PAC's ViP system is used to provide IP for their video door entry systems as it delivers high performance and high reliability while remaining simple to install.
In Module 1 of our bitesize training program for the system, we go into a little more detail of why and how that matters.

Why choose ViP?
In the second module of our bitesize course, we want to cover the most important factor: Why would you (or your customers) use ViP with your Comelit-PAC system?
These systems can genuinely save you time and money, but they also provide additional functionality and extra features – some of them much desired in a door entry system. It’s not just about ease of use – it's also about comfort in the premises and peace of mind for the users.

ViP Internal Units for Comelit-PAC
These bitesize modules are designed to give you all the information you need, for yourself and for any others. In the third module we look at the internal handsets and monitors that are used in a ViP system.
By the end of module three, as well as what ViP is and why you’d want to choose it, you’ll understand how it interacts with the different internal units you might use with it. You’ll also be familiar with the MyComelit app, so you’ll be perfectly positioned to educate customers or act as an internal expert on the topic.

Using the ViP Manager
As part of the ViP system, the ViP Manager is an incredibly useful tool. This powerful piece of dedicated software makes it easy to program a Comelit-PAC door entry system using ViP, which reduces the time needed on site significantly.
In our fourth bitesize module, you’ll learn everything you need to know about:
- Group programming
- Simple commissioning
- Remote access for maintenance and servicing using the Gateway
