Comelit-PAC Bitesize Training on VIP Systems - Session 2
Additional VIP System Features:
- Video Memory Function (answer machine) - if a call is not answered, the internal monitor can record a 10 second audio/video clip.
- Away Message - the internal device can be use to record a message, this will then be played out the speaker in the entrance panel if a call is made.
- Intercommunication - Intercommunication is allowed between internal devices either at the same address or different addresses, a directory can be programmed into the menu.
- Call Diversion - If a call is not answered or the device is busy, the call can be forwarded to another device on the network.
- Voice Anunciation and LED Indication - Voice and LED indication is now available to let visitors know that a call has been placed, answered/busy or if the door has been released.
- Hearing Loop Option - All video monitors have a built-in hearing loop as standard to allow users with hearing aids to amplify the volume.
SIP Interface:
- SIP stands for Session Initiation Protocol
- It is an IP protocol used for communication across a network.
- Comelit VIP is also a protocol, and an interface is required to convert from VIP to SIP
- SIP is normally used to either make calls to IP phone systems or to make calls to third party home automation systems.
Call Log NVR:
- Allows the recording, storage and playback of calls from external units.
- Possibility to install on a VIP system as a "Door Entry NVR".
- All calls and activity from the panels will be recorded on the NVR.
- Any PC with Call Log Client SW can connect to Call Log NVR and upload data.
- Video and audio recording
Requires Mini or Maxi Monitor
VIP Fire Interface 1467
The 1467 interface allows to forward events generated by the Fire detection system to the VIP door entry system.
(Requires Mini or Maxi Monitor)
The five types of events reported on VIP devices are:
- Pre-alarm
- Alarm
- Evacuation
- Fault - General fault from Fire control panel
- Communication error - Connectivity problems with Fire control panel
