SRS UPR+ Universal Access Control Proximity Reader (EM and Mifare)
The Universal Proximity Reader is designed to work with all access control systems provided they have a Wiegand input for communication.
The UPR (contactless reader) reads cards and tokens at 125kHz and 13,86MHz. It transmits the data to the controller while providing a visual and/or audible signal using the LEDs/Buzzer if the card is recognised and valid or invalid.
The Universal Proximity Reader can be wall mounted or flush mounted in a door entry panel (panel mount reader with EM 125kHz tags only) with a 40x40mm cutout. This is a UNIQUE feature of the UPR. No other reader available in the UK can be used for panel mounting or wall mounting.

Panel Mounting
Panel mounting means the reader can be installed into a door entry panel (or other suitable panel or housing) with a 40 x 40mm cut-out.
Most vandal resistant door entry panels are available in a style to accept a 40 x 40mm proximity reader. This style of reader was introduced by PAC in the 1980s.
