An electric lock is made by Abloy, who are known for making high quality locks. However they manufacture a large range of products which include padlocks, other electric locking devices, cylinders and door operators to name a few.

Being a Fail Unlocked lock it can be safely used in public buildings, Fail Unlocked means that if the power supply were to fail the door will safely open.

The locking prism is held in the locking position by spring force. When the door is closed the prism engages with the striking plate.

When the electric strike is energised the prism is then fixed into position and the door is now safely locked.

In models with integrated door contact, locking actuation to door closed status, operated by the door contact, can be restricted The integrated armature contact (25 V/1 A) can be used to electronically monitor locking status.

Please note: This product requires a swing door closer with adjustable closing pressure and closing speed which securely positions the door leaf ready for locking.
