The 8883 is used to house 8000 series Videx modules the frame with combined rain hood is manufactured from aluminium. The housing is installed on the surface of the wall and can easily be expanded by adding another to create a six module housing or another two to create a nine module housing.

For ease of installation and future maintenance there is a stainless steel hinge at the bottom of the housing. The rain hood protects the modules when installed in an open area exposed to the weather.
