The Videx V-MTPXS-MF-SA is a standalone offline Mifare proximity reader in a silver aluminium surface mount housing. Part of the Videx MiAccess range, it uses Mifare read/write technology supporting Mifare Classic 1K and 4K card types at 13.56MHz with a read range of up to 6cm.

The reader is IP65 rated with resin potted electronics, suitable for both internal and external installations. It offers unlimited user capacity with up to 3500 logged events and a blacklist facility for up to 500 lost or stolen cards. Personalised access rights are registered directly onto each user card, eliminating the need for an online connection between readers.

Programming and configuration is carried out via PROA-MS or PROH-MS PC software (free to download) using the micro-USB port on the rear of the reader. User cards and fobs are enrolled via the PROX-USB desktop reader connected to a PC. Firmware upgrades are also supported via the micro-USB connection.
