This electromagnetic lock uses electrical current to produce a magnetic force that holds the door securely closed. The substantial 1200lb holding force provides strong security for access controlled doors. The fail open operation means the door is released when power is removed, making it suitable for emergency exit applications where the door must be free to open in the event of power failure. The lock requires an L bracket for outward opening doors or a Z plus L bracket for inward opening doors.
