This electromagnetic lock uses electrical current to produce a magnetic force that holds the door securely closed. The substantial 1200lb holding force provides strong security for access controlled doors. The monitored version includes a reed switch and LED for door status monitoring, allowing the access control system to determine whether the door is properly closed and secured. The fail open operation means the door is released when power is removed. The lock operates at 12 or 24Vdc and requires an L bracket for outward opening doors or a Z plus L bracket for inward opening doors.
