This electric release is designed for surface mounting on the door frame to work with standard Yale type cylinder night latches. The satin finish provides an attractive appearance suitable for most door frame finishes. When power is applied the release mechanism allows the door to be pushed open without operating the lock. The surface mount design makes installation straightforward without the need to mortice into the door frame.
