The 4849MI/M is one of a selection of modular 4000 series Wiegand and Mifare proximity reader modules available that connect to an access control CPU and can also be incorporated as part of an audio or video door entry system.

The 4849MI/M is an offline standalone MiAccess Mifare proximity reader, part of the MiAccess system, and is capable of reading Mifare Classic 1K and 4K cards and fobs. It can be programmed and configured directly via the micro-USB port on the rear of the reader using either the PROA-MS or PROH-MS PC software.

The reader has unlimited user (fob/card) capacity with up to 3500 events logged which can be retrieved directly via the micro-USB port or using a programmed Ôevents collect cardÕ. It has a read range of up to 6cm with an operating frequency of 13.56MHz. It also has a switched 0V push to exit input, a dry contact relay (COM, NO and NC), tamper connection and RS485 bus wires for remote relay connection to an RU2, DINRTT or RTT device.

This reader comes with a matt 316 grade stainless steel finish (suffix /M). It is also compatible with the full range of 4000 series surface and flush back boxes.
