The Videx V-3172 is a two-button audio handset from the Videx Smart Line range, designed for use with the VX2200 2-wire digital door entry system. It features a door lock release button and an auxiliary button which can be configured to trigger additional devices such as an electric lock or stair lighting.

The handset includes a privacy mute switch on the base which, when activated, prevents incoming calls from ringing. An adjustable volume control and electronic call tone are also provided. The intercom function is available when two or three handsets are installed within the same flat or property, allowing communication between handsets. The V-3172 can be desk mounted with the addition of the Videx desk kit V-3038.
