The Videx 2N mortice latch is an 8 to 12 Vac electric release designed to work with narrow pattern lock cases on controlled entrance doors
This electric mortice release is fitted in the door frame to hold the latch from a compatible lock case and releases it when a low voltage AC supply is applied. It is used with door entry and access systems so users can unlock the door from an intercom, keypad or reader while keeping the mechanical lock for manual key operation.
