Fermax F-5296 Resistant Wiegand Proximity Reader for Access Control
The Fermax F-5296 is a vandal-resistant Wiegand proximity reader from the Resistant range, designed for external door controllers in standalone or centralised access control installations. The reader supports dual-frequency operation at 125 kHz (EM, HID) and 13.56 MHz (MIFARE), outputting via Wiegand 26 protocol. As an anti-sabotage measure, the reader does not incorporate a lock release mechanism or exit button — these functions are handled by the separate door controller installed in a secure location.
The F-5296 is compatible with the Wiegand 1-Door Wi-Fi Mini Controller (F-5193) for standalone installations up to 1,000 users, or with the MDS door controller (F-4420) for centralised AC+ systems supporting up to 2,046 users per PC. It is also fully compatible with the AC-MAX system as an entry or exit reader connected to EXP2D/EXP4D expanders.
