The sounder is a white unit with integrated sounder and LEDs that connects to the VT, 0V and EX terminals of a handset. The purpose of the sounder is to alert a resident of an incoming call.
It does this by flashing and generating a noise when the residents handset is ringing. The sounder can be wall or ceiling mounted.
