The Comelit 4893M is a Quadra series surface-mounted external video entry unit for Simplebus 2-wire door entry systems. It features a die-cast aluminium faceplate, a wide-angle colour camera with a single white LED for nighttime illumination, and mechanical call buttons configurable from 1 to 4 users via DIP switches.

Indicator LEDs signal call sent, lock-release activated, audio activated and system busy status. Speaker volume and audio balance are adjustable. The unit is bus line powered, requiring no separate power supply at the panel.
