Clever innovation has removed the traditional objections of hands-free active tags (battery life and cost). By providing a changeable battery, the tags do not have a limited life so under normal wear & tear conditions they will provide many years of activity.

A new development is the inclusion of an integral motion sensor (optional) within the card and tag. This ensures that while the card/tag is stationary, no signal will be transmitted therefore prolonging the battery life.
