The BSX16-2 uses the line isolation principle so that damage to any individual telephone or its cabling does not affect the rest of the system. Speech between tenant and caller is completely private. The unit manages two independent entrances with adjustable lock, ring and talk times, and provides timed lock outputs for both fail-safe and fail-secure lock releases including magnetic locks. An integrated TS2000-BST 7-day quartz reserve time clock provides programmable tradesmen and service entry. Diagnostic LEDs on the central exchange unit simplify fault-finding during maintenance visits. The cabinet includes a regulated power supply with isolation switch and space for a 12V 7Ah standby battery.
