The Bell CSPP-2/VRS is a durable 2-station stainless steel audio door entry intercom panel, designed for surface mounting and equipped with a built-in Paxton compact proximity access control reader. This integrated system provides convenient access for residents, tenants, or staff who can easily enter the building with a keyfob, while visitors use the traditional Bell System door entry telephone to communicate. The proximity system employs a secure shadow card mechanism for validating and voiding user access, with all programming efficiently performed via dedicated function cards. A convenient starter pack of keyfobs is included, and additional keyfobs can be purchased as needed for system expansion. The Paxton compact panel-mount reader is securely mounted on the rear of the panel and protected by a robust Lexan window, ensuring its durability. The reader's self-contained electronics include three cable pairs for power, electric lock release, and an optional exit button connection. The lock output is set to fail-secure by default, with a timed lock output of 5 seconds, which can be easily changed to fail-safe using the included card. The panel is manufactured from robust 2.5 mm 316 marine-grade stainless steel with an integral grill protecting the speech unit and is supplied with a low-profile surface mounting box. Alternatively, these panels can be supplied with a flush-fitting zintec back-box and vandal-resistant bolts for enhanced security. For panels with more than 7 buttons, the vandal-resistant style is recommended to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
