The Bell CSPP-2/VR is a robust 2-station stainless steel audio door entry intercom panel, designed for flush mounting and featuring a built-in Paxton compact proximity access control reader. This integrated system seamlessly combines traditional door entry with modern proximity access, allowing authorized personnel to gain entry with a keyfob while visitors communicate via the Bell System telephone. The proximity system utilizes a secure shadow card mechanism for comprehensive user management, with all programming intuitively performed using dedicated function cards. A convenient starter pack of keyfobs is included, and additional keyfobs can be purchased as needed for system expansion. The Paxton compact panel-mount reader is securely mounted on the rear of the panel and protected by a robust Lexan window, ensuring its durability. The reader's self-contained electronics include three cable pairs for power, electric lock release, and an optional exit button connection. The lock output is set to fail-secure by default, with a timed lock output of 5 seconds, which can be easily changed to fail-safe using the included card. The panel is manufactured from durable 3 mm anodised aluminium with an integral grill protecting the speech unit and is supplied with a low-profile surface mounting box or, optionally, a flush-fitting zintec back-box and vandal-resistant bolts. For panels with more than 7 buttons, the vandal-resistant style is highly recommended to ensure optimal longevity and security.
