Bell 640 12 V DC Standby Power Supply provide backup power for door entry and access control system, ensuring continuous operation during main failure in residential, commercial, or critical security.

The Model 640 provides a regulated 12V DC output and incorporates an integrated battery charging circuit. During normal operation, it powers the connected intercom system while simultaneously maintaining a standby battery (typically a 12V SLA battery, sold separately) at full charge. In the event of a power cut, the unit automatically switches to battery power with zero interruption to the system. The power supply is housed in a robust, wall-mountable enclosure and features fused protection for both the mains input and the DC output, shielding the system against electrical surges and short circuits.
