The Bell CSPP-1/VR is a sophisticated 1-station stainless steel audio door entry intercom panel, designed for flush mounting and featuring a built-in Paxton compact proximity access control reader. This integrated system allows residents, tenants, or staff to gain easy access to the building using a keyfob, while visitors can communicate and request entry via the Bell System door entry telephone. The proximity system employs a secure shadow card mechanism for validating and voiding user access, with all programming efficiently performed via dedicated function cards. A convenient starter pack of keyfobs is included, and additional keyfobs can be purchased as needed for system expansion. The Paxton compact panel-mount reader is securely mounted on the rear of the panel and protected by a robust Lexan window, ensuring its longevity. The reader's self-contained electronics include three cable pairs for power, electric lock release, and an optional exit button connection. The lock output is set to fail-secure by default, with a timed lock output of 5 seconds, which can be easily changed to fail-safe using the included card. The panel itself is manufactured from durable 3 mm anodized aluminium with an integral grill protecting the speech unit. It is supplied with a low-profile surface mounting box or, optionally, a flush-fitting zintec back-box and vandal-resistant bolts for enhanced security, providing a versatile and reliable access solution.
