Alpro EMS-1200SM Compact Shearlock + 1x Surface Housing

Alpro EMS-1200SM is a compact electromagnetic shearlock supplied with one surface mount housing, designed for mixed installations where one side is mortice-mounted and the other is surface-mounted. Operating at 12VDC to 24VDC, it features a built-in PCB controller with adjustable time delay (0-30 seconds), multiple auto relock (up to 100 attempts), fully monitored Hall Effect sensor and door position switch.

The EMS-1200SM is ideal for installations where the magnet is flush-mounted into the frame and the armature is surface-mounted on the door (or vice versa). The 3-metre plug-in flying leads simplify wiring. This unit must be installed horizontally only — vertical installation invalidates the warranty. A minimum 2 amp regulated PSU is required per shearlock.

• What is the difference between EMS-1200M, EMS-1200S and EMS-1200SM? The EMS-1200M is mortice only (no housings). The EMS-1200S includes 2x surface housings for full surface mount. The EMS-1200SM includes 1x surface housing for mixed flush/surface installations.
• Can it be installed vertically? No. The EMS1200 compact shearlock is not suitable for vertical installation — this invalidates the warranty.
