SRS 22401 Magnetic stripe card
The magnetic stripe card is the most popular card for access control systems primarily because it is easy to produce. The cards are difficult to copy although by no means impossible. The basic card is encoded on track 2 with 10 digits.
Bewator and TDSi card readers read the last 8 digits whereas Excelsior reads 10 digits (5 card No. & 5 site code). Some bank cards (also encoded on track 2) are therefore suitable for reading with both Bewator and TDSi systems.
