The Comelit 2638 is a Basic version audio door entry handset from the Style series, specifically designed for use in mixed audio/video systems (Simplebus 1 and Simplebus 2). It features electronic call with volume adjustment, secrecy of speech, privacy function, a door open pushbutton and a supplementary pushbutton for switchboard call or free (C/N.O.) function. The second pushbutton can be configured via selection jumper to control an actuator (Art. 1256).

This handset supports floor door call management and call repetition. It is supplied with the connection terminal Art. 1214/2C. Supplementary pushbuttons or LEDs cannot be added to this model.
